Écomusée Accessibility

Before your next visit, check out the initiatives in place to ensure that everyone can fully enjoy their visit to the Écomusée, regardless of their abilities.

  • The Écomusée is Kéroul certified for people with reduced mobility.
  • The building is wheelchair accessible.
  • Accessible restrooms are located in the lobby.
  • The Écomusée has an elevator system that allows people with reduced mobility to access the exhibits.
  • Please note that the main entrance elevator is 47.5 inches (120.6 cm) deep and 35 inches (88.9 cm) wide.

  • Upon presentation of a Companion Leisure Card (CAL), admission is free for the person accompanying a visitor with special needs.
  • Service animals and guide dogs are allowed inside the museum. Front desk staff may ask for proof signed by a doctor or proof that the animal comes from a recognized institution.

  • The Écomusée does not have parking facilities. The nearest accessible metro station is Berri-UQAM.
  • Municipal parking spaces with adapted parking meters and reserved parking spaces are available at certain locations in the Ville-Marie borough. For more information, visit the Montreal Sustainable Mobility Agency.
