- The Écomusée offers free admission on the first Sunday of every month for visitors under the age of 20.
- Enjoy a reduced admission price of $8 and a free publication with the Accès Montréal card. Enjoy a reduced admission price of $8 upon presentation of a valid STM transit pass.
- Visit the Écomusée for free with the Montréal Museum Card.
- Visit the Écomusée for free with the Passeport MTL city pass.
- Newcomers to Canada can visit the Écomusée for free thanks to the Canadian Citizenship Institute’s cultural pass program, via the Canoo app.
- “Empruntez un musée” passes, available at the Grande Bibliothèque and in the Montréal library network, allow you to visit the Écomusée for free (valid for 2 adults and 2 children).
- The “À Mirabel on M la culture” card allows you to visit the Écomusée for free.
- Members of our membership program’s partner organizations enjoy preferential rates: Usine C (15%), Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (50%), Espace Libre (15%), Cinémathèque québécoise (15%), Revue Esse ($2 discount), McCord-Stewart Museum (50%).
- Holders of membership cards from the Association québécoise des retraités du secteur public et parapublic (AQRP) and the Association québécoise de défense des droits de personnes retraitées et préretraitées (AQDR) receive free admission with the purchase of an adult ticket (two for the price of one).
- Holders of membership cards from the following professional associations have free access to the Écomusée: Société des musées du Québec (SMQ), Canadian Museums Association (CMA), International Council of Museums (ICOM), American Alliance of Museums (AAM), Corporation des guides animateurs du Québec (CGAQ), Association professionnelle des guides touristiques de Montréal (APGT Montréal), Association des communicateurs scientifiques du Québec (ACSQ).
- Members of the Spécialistes MTL program (Tourisme Montréal) are entitled to one free admission for two people.

Pets are not allowed in the Écomusée. Assistance and service animals are, however, permitted.
Visits vary in length depending on the individual and the content of our exhibitions. We recommend allowing between 45 minutes and 1 hour to visit the permanent exhibition All the Livelong Day! The Joys and Sorrows of Life in a Working-Class Neighbourhood.
The Écomusée offers group guided tours of the permanent exhibition and certain temporary exhibits, led by our Cultural Mediation Team. To plan your visit, please see the Groups information section.
We have a self-service coat check, without a lock system. The Écomusée cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings.
A changing table is available in one of our restrooms.
Public wireless Internet access is currently unavailable.
Exhibition rooms are air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter.
