SKÜLPT 303 Studio
SKÜLPT 303 pays tribute to Sculpt Studio, which was founded in 1980 by a group of professional artists who collaborated to establish a stone sculpture workshop. Over the years, SKÜLPT 303 has welcomed many artists at various stages of their careers and offered them a supportive environment to pursue their research in sculpture, all while offering courses to the general public.
SKÜLPT 303’s mission is to offer an (unsubsidized) collective studio space to promote the work and output of its artists, as well as to offer training courses in stone sculpture to the general public to ensure the continued flourishing of stone sculpture as a practice. The Studio currently comprises ten permanent members as well as several students, who vary annually. The socio-artistic efforts of SKÜLPT 303’s members are directed as much towards personal practice as they are to the preservation of a space where the unique practice of stone sculpture can be kept alive for future generations, whether they be professional or amateur.
