An exhibition exploring the many faces of social assistance

September 14 to October 9, 2022

Get a closer look at the realities people on social assistance face, the preconceptions Quebecers hold, and the nature of “last-resort” government assistance. The exhibition brings together photographic portraits, first-person accounts, and findings from an extensive body of academic research. It also presents the history and nature of social assistance programs in Québec, while questioning our collective relationship to poverty.

Exhibition presented in French only.

Presented by Université TÉLUQ, the Canada Research Chair in Media Literacy and Human Rights, and Collectif pour un Québec sans pauvreté
