Active since 1982, the Protocole UQAM/Relais-femmes is an institutional alliance between UQAM’s Service aux collectivités (SAC), the Relais-femmes organization and the Institut de recherches et d’études féministes (IREF). By bringing together the needs of Quebec women’s groups and research interests, this alliance fosters the development and implementation of partnership projects that promote feminist social change.

To mark its 40^th anniversary, Côté recherche, côté pratique traces the history and current status of the Protocole. With a particular focus on projects backed in the last decade, the exhibition aims to showcase the fruits of pooling knowledge from women’s groups with that of universities.
