Montreal | Tuesday February 11, 2014 – Discover the art of D’un œil différent during the 9th edition of the only event organised for the recognition of ID-ASD artists*.

In 2013: more than 1500 visitors, 600 people attending the preview, 13 guided tours, 11 days of exhibition, performances, artistic workshops , human and intimate interactions with renowned and emerging artists – a one of kind gathering in Montreal!

This year, in addition to the already rich programme of the Écomusée du fier monde, D’un oeil différent will celebrate its first beyond the walls with four activities; two open drama and dance courses at the Centre des Arts de la scène les Muses, an exhibition at the Compagnons de Montréal and the première of AVALe by Joe Jack et John at the Théâtre aux Écuries, real flagship event for the Semaine québécoise pour la déficience intellectuelle ( Quebec Week of Intellectual Disability).

What with the traditional opening evening brightened up by the Janine Sutto Awards, the chance to meet artists-exhibitors and attend a variety of performances, D’un oeil différent offers once more fantastic mixed and inclusive opportunities to take part in multiple participative activities (tales, dance, embroidery, fresco creation, body expression…).

Honorary Presidents: comedians Geneviève Morin-Dupont and Jean-Marie Lapointe

Wednesday March 5 – 4pm: Opening evening, preview and Janine Sutto prize giving with the artists

The organising committee for D’un oeil différent is made of four partners from cultural organisations that help people with intellectual impairments: the Association de Montréal pour la Déficience Intellectuelle (AMDI), the Centre de Réadaptations en Déficience Intellectuelle et en Troubles Envahissants du Développement (CRDITED), Exeko and La Gang à Rambrou.
